SWEENEY CHEVROLET BUICK GMC BECOMES FASTRAK NORTHEAST LATE MODEL TOURING SERIES’ INAUGURAL TITLE SPONSOR

(Pulaski, PA)…The FASTRAK Northeast Late Model Touring Series is proud to welcome Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, which is located in Boardman, Ohio, as its inaugural title sponsor for the upcoming 2011 season. The 2011 Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC FASTRAK Northeast Late Model Touring Series will begin in April and is again expected to feature approximately 20 events.
“We’re very excited to have Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC involved as the presenting sponsor of our Touring Series,” expressed Northeast Co-Director Vicki Emig. “Partnering with Sweeney, a name greatly respected in the auto industry throughout western Pa. and eastern Ohio, is a great testament to the continued growth of FASTRAK Northeast. With Sweeney being just a short drive from the heart of the Northeast Region, I know we can offer them in return great exposure- both to the general public as well as to the several hundred FASTRAK racers and fans in the Northeast.”
Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC has already stepped up to offer $100 Sweeney gift cards to the top 15 from the 2010 Northeast Touring Series points that can be utilized toward the purchase of any type of merchandise. These will be distributed at the awards banquet at the Hard Rock Cafe Pittsburgh on Sunday, January 30. Sweeney will also provide five additional $100 gift cards that will be awarded as contingencies in early 2011 Touring Series events. This gesture will immediately put $2,000 worth of value directly in the hands of FASTRAK Northeast racers.”
Sweeney has also announced they will be giving away a GM 604 engine during the 2011 season! An entire promotion and Northeast Touring Series event will be created around this generous offer. More details on this will be forthcoming.
Another huge opportunity for racers to take advantage of will be the ability to purchase through Sweeney GM 604 and 602 engines for the very low price of $5,090 and $3,090 respectively. The 2011 racing season marks the fifth for FASTRAK in the Northeast and first carrying a title sponsor for the Touring Series. One-year after a record-breaking season, which saw car count records shattered, the number of participating tracks at an all-time high, and some $100,000 awarded to Northeast racers through FASTRAK point funds alone, officials are busy working on an exciting 2011 season with several new programs to be offered.
