SWEENEY CHEVROLET BUICK GMC PACE PERFORMANCE RETURNS AS 2012 FASTRAK NE LATE MODEL TOURING SERIES TITLE SPONSOR; GM 604 ENGINE TO AGAIN BE GIVEN AWAY JULY 21 AT SHARON

(Pulaski, PA)…The FASTRAK Northeast Late Model Touring Series is proud to announce the return of Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Pace Performance as its 2012 presenting sponsor.  Already over 20 events are booked on the 2012 Series slate, which will kickoff in April and end in October.  The Boardman, Ohio-based dealership will continue to offer the region’s lowest prices on GM 604 and 602 crate engines, and will also give away a 604 engine at Sharon Speedway on July 21. 

“We were thrilled to sign Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC on as an important marketing partner in 2011,” explained sixth year Northeast Co-Director Vicki Emig.  “In fact, they became our first Series title sponsor, and it really turned into a great partnership.  The Sweeney name really became associated with FASTRAK Northeast and with their return to the Series in 2012 will only continue to build their brand awareness.”

For the second straight year, Sweeney will be giving away a GM 604 Engine at Sharon Speedway.  This year’s event will again pay $2,000 to-win and take place on Saturday, July 21 at Sharon.  Last year’s event, which was won by George Kowatic for his first career Touring win, drew a season high and Sharon record 48 cars!  The engine was won by Sharon regular Ben Black.
