Golf Cars 4 ALL PartnerS WITH FASTRAK NORTHEAST in Season-Long Cancer Benefit

(Pulaski, PA)…FASTRAK Northeast Officials are excited to announce a season-long cancer benefit drive made possible through the generous donation of a custom golf car from Golf Cars 4 All of New Castle, Pa.

Recently, FASTRAK car owner and co-owner of Golf Cars 4 All, Terry Hoover, contacted the FASTRAK Northeast office to discuss the possibility of organizing a drive to raise money for the American Cancer Society through the raffle of a custom golf car designed by his company.

The flashy red golf car will carry a FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series-themed graphics package, compliments of McCool Signs & Graphics and be displayed and utilized at all 2011 Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series events beginning May 28 at Sharon Speedway. 

This date will be a perfect kickoff for the benefit as it is also the date and location of Tori Martin’s “Racing for a Cure” American Cancer Society Benefit Night and Bill Emig Memorial “Wild Card Weekend”.  Tori is the sister of FASTRAK racer Joe Martin, and Emig was the father of Northeast Co-Director Vicki, who passed away from cancer in 1990.  

“I was really touched when Terry and his partner Jeff Caldwell contacted me about the possibility of donating a golf car for use at all of our FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series events, which at the same time could be utilized as a fund raising opportunity for the American Cancer Society,” expressed Vicki Emig.  “As we all know, Terry loves racing as much as the rest of us, but what many may not realize he is also a very talented golfer.  He has found a way to combine two of his passions for a very important cause.”

Raffle tickets will be on sale for $5 each or three tickets for $10 at all Northeast Touring events and available at various other venues throughout the season.  The Golf Cars 4 All custom car will be raffled off at Sharon Speedway’s “Apple Festival Nationals” on Saturday, September 17.  

“This car is first class,” stated Northeast Co-Director Mike Leone.  “It’ll be a great asset for us at our touring events.   Golf Cars 4 All has customized it for all of our needs, especially our inspector Brad Hibbard.  To know in the end that it will serve two purposes, assisting the FASTRAK Touring Series and raising money for the American Cancer Society, is very satisfying.  I hope that if anyone at anytime has a need for this type of vehicle they’ll allow Terry and his staff to customize a cart for them.”

In support of the American Cancer Society and in conjunction with Sharon Speedway and Tori Martin’s Cancer Benefit and the kick-off of the Golf Cars 4 All raffle, FASTRAK Northeast will donate $2 to the American Cancer Society for any “pink” FASTRAK apparel that is sold over the Memorial Day Weekend.  The new hot pink apparel will debut at Sharon on May 28.
